This Configuration Guide is written as a general guide on how to configure Snom PA1+ to work with PBXware 6.7.3.
To start and successfully complete registration of your Snom device, you need to know which device model to set up.
On the back of each Snom device, there is model information that you should check. Although various device models can have exactly the same requirements and installation procedures, they can also have significantly different requirements and installation procedures, so that is why it is important to know the model you own which results in you setting up the device successfully.
Make sure that your device is loaded with an appropriate firmware version, 10.1.137.15.
Fully configured and operational DHCP server.
PBXware version 6.7.3.
In order to find out the PBXware version:
On the top of About page, you may see a code similar to this one PBXware Edition: Business, Release: 6.7 (387597b7), Running: 13.23.1-gc-34a0982f, PBXware Proxy v6.7 (872e553), API: 7, libmemcached version: 1.0.18, where Release denotes the current version of your PBXware.

Connect the Network and Power
NOTE: If you are using Power over Ethernet (PoE), you don't need to connect the AC adapter. Make sure that the Ethernet cable and router or switch is Power over Ethernet (PoE) compliant.
Connect the Network (only)
Using a regular Ethernet cable, your device can be powered from a Power over Ethernet (PoE) compliant router or switch.
NOTE: If you are using Power over Ethernet (PoE), you don't need to connect the AC adapter. Make sure that the Ethernet cable and router or switch is Power over Ethernet (PoE) compliant.
Find out your Snom device's IP Address.
This step is not required for brand new out-of-the-box devices, however, if the device has been already used then it is a must.
NOTE: Do not unplug or remove power to the device while it is updating firmware and configuration.

Extension Values
Enter values into the required field text boxes.
REQUIRED FIELDS:
Enter a name for the Extension being created. Example: John Smith.
Enter the e-mail address associated with this Extension. This e-mail address will receive all system notification messages. Example: john.smith@bicomsystems.com

REQUIRED FIELDS:
Make sure the On radio box is selected.
PBXware Extension name. Example: John
Usually the same number as the Authentication Username.
The Secret of the Extension as received in the e-mail associated with this Extension. Example: _%Z4M3*Ts9y7. A password is generated automatically for each newly created Extension.
Enter the Hostname or IP Address of PBXware.
- Example of a Hostname: voip.bicomsystems.com
- Example of an IP Address: 192.168.1.10
PBXware Extension number. Example: 103.
Dial *123 to verify registration.

To set up Speakerphone page option, users will have to edit Enhanced Services and enable Speakerphone Page service. Snom PA1+ need some manual configuration in order for Speakerphone Paging to work.

If there already is an active call on device, in phones web interface under Identity -> SIP you will need to set:
In case you want to set a delay on the auto answer when using the Speakerphone page, the auto answer option needs to be disabled on the PA1+ device in the Identity -> SIP section.
In PBXware for extension in the field Custom SIP Header you will need to add Alert-Info: sip:127.0.0.1;info=alert-autoanswer;delay=0 to change the delay for the auto answer for a couple of seconds.
