Remote directory is a very useful feature when a phone does not have speed dial buttons or expansion module. This Configuration Guide is written as general guide on how to enable and configure Remote Directory through provisioning.

Requirements
To use Remote Directory, phone must be provisioned. To find out more info on how to provision a phone, check our Provisioning Guide: PBXware 5.0 End Points
Configuration
Enable Remote Directory
To enable Remote Directory follow these steps:
- Go to Settings -> Servers, or Settings -> Tenants and click Edit option.
- Click Show Advanced Options
- In the General Settings section set Show Directory in OSC to Yes
- Click Save button at the bottom of the page.
- Reboot the phone and open Directory menu on the phone. Remote directory should be displayed.
Remove phone number from Directory
I one wants to remove a phone number, for example 103 from Remote Directory, this feature must be disabled in the extension settings for this phone number:
- Go to Extensions and click Edit option on the extension 103
- Click Show Advanced Options
- In the General Settings section set Show in Directory to No
- Click Save button.
- Reboot the phone and open Directory menu on the phone. Extension 103 should be removed from the list.
