Important changes regarding PBXware v7.4.0
From the 7.4 version, we have implemented a different installation since we are transferring to Ubuntu 24.04 LTS as a suggested installation for the standalone. Please note that this is a specific procedure, and it is not a generated ISO file.More information: PBXware Ubuntu Installation Manual
Update of Yealink Management Cloud Service (YMCS) Version
The classic Yealink Management Cloud Service (YMCS) version has been upgraded to a new platform. With that, the old RPS portal has been shut down and therefore is no longer functional. Because of that, the new portal has been integrated into the 7.3.0 version of PBXware.
Important software changes in PBXware v6.7.3
Chat Server: In this version we are introducing a new chat server binary which will have a great impact on the chat sync speed. This change however, will require a chat server migration to be performed after the update to PBXware v6.7.3 is completed and services are restarted. Depending on the amount of chat messages on your system, this process can take anywhere between 10-120 minutes, and until the migration process is completed, the chat feature on gloCOM apps will not be available, but users will be able to make calls and send SMS without any issues.
Conference call recording: In PBXware version 6.7.3 we have fixed an issue that caused call recordings on all Conference calls on MT systems to be enabled, if call recording was enabled on the Tenant level, even if call recording was not enabled in the conference group settings. To make sure your conference calls will still be recorded, after the update to version 6.7.3, please inspect your Conference Group settings and confirm that the call recordings settings are set according to your preferences.
Servers: Because several PBXware services require the Domain Name field to be populated in order to work, from PBXware v6.7.3 Domain Name entry will be mandatory. In case your PBXware only has an IP address, you can enter the IP address in the Domain Name field, so you can save the settings, but please note that some PBXware services will not work correctly, while others might not work at all, until a valid domain name is entered.
V6.7 Meeting Licensing Change
Important notification for all Meeting module users
With the official release of PBXware v6.7, which should be released in the first half of January, 2023. all current Meeting users will be automatically assigned Starter packages on all the extensions in the system/tenant with Meeting licenses, regardless of whether they’ve upgraded to v6.7 or stayed on earlier PBXware versions.
In order to be able to use a bigger package, users will have to update their PBXware to v6.7 as well as purchase the licenses for preferred Meeting package they would like to use.

Please be informed that the usage of 'Google Drive' as a Client on 'Archiving' will be blocked due to certain changes in the OAuth authorization procedure for existing clients starting from the 3rd of October, 2022. Google will enforce the compliance on the 1st of February, 2023. To continue using 'Google Drive' on 'Archiving' from 6.6.1 and all upcoming versions, PBXware administrators need to authorize Google archiving again for the software to acquire new tokens for authorization. Also, be informed that Google archiving will not work on older versions than 6.6.1.
Please be informed that Queues are deprecated from the 6.5.0 version on the Multi Tenant and Business editions, however, users will still be able to use Queues without the option to add new Queues. It is highly recommended to switch to using the ‘Enhanced Ring Groups’ feature as soon as possible.
Please be informed that Ring Groups are renamed to Dial Groups in the PBXware 6.5 version.
Please be informed that Dynamic Agents are deprecated from the 6.4.0 version. Users will still be able to use Dynamic Agents in this version until the 7.0.0 version, but it is highly recommended to switch to using Callback Agents with the ‘Auto Answer’ option as soon as possible.
gloCOM GO & Meeting Integration
Starting with the 7.3 version, there will no longer be a need for separate meeting mobile applications. Users will be able to join meetings directly through the gloCOM GO app, as the meeting module has been successfully integrated without losing the capability for external users (those without gloCOM extensions) to join as guests. This integration improves the user experience by consolidating meeting scheduling, control, and participation into one
platform. Additionally, it streamlines future maintenance, support, and release processes for mobile stores like Google Play and the Apple App Store.
